Background and Discussion:

Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers, Inc. completed a Preliminary Engineering Report to analyze potential benefits and configurations of a TC Jester Stormwater Detention Basin, HCFCD Unit No. K500-23-00 to reduce the risk of flood damage within Cypress Creek. The Preliminary Engineering Report was approved by Commissioner Court September 14, 2021.

 

Expected Impact:

The Cypress Creek Watershed Major Tributaries Regional Drainage Plan by Michael Baker International, dated February 2020 recommended 26,546 acre-feet of detention volume throughout the Cypress Creek Watershed. The proposed TC Jester stormwater detention basin will consist of three compartments and provide more than 900 acre-feet of stormwater detention volume.

The alternative should this agreement not be approved is that we could not proceed to the construction stage of this project.
