Background and Discussion: Per previous direction from Commissioners Court, the Elections Administrator's Office has worked with FPM to find short-term warehouse space to fill the gap between our current available warehouse space and our space needs with new election equipment. The requested lease, reviewed and approved by FPM and the County Attorney's Office, is the product of that search. The lease includes a two-year term and would provide sufficient space for the Elections Administrator to continue receiving new equipment into 2022. Cost estimates are based on anticipated lease amounts, utilities estimate and cost estimate for moving existing materials to new facility.

Expected Impact: As identified by the Office of Elections Administrator and by Autoarch in a space assessment study, the Elections Administrator has a 30k+ sq ft deficit in space. This lease will help alleviate the space deficit and will lead to the Elections Technology Center coming into compliance with the fire code.
