Background and Discussion:
Officers participating in the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) will make enforcement of impaired driving their top priority. Enforcement will occur during the following holiday periods: Christmas/New Year's, Spring Break, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. The goal is to reduce crashes, fatalities, and injuries, through high visibility enforcement and public education.
Expected Impact:
A reduction in crashes, fatalities, and injuries related to impaired driving is expected.
