Background and Discussion:

 

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) developed the Texas Digital Navigators grant program to fund libraries to develop and implement a unique Digital Navigator program. Digital Navigators are individuals who address the whole digital inclusion process, including home connectivity, devices, and digital skills with community members through repeated interactions (via classes, one-on-one instructions, instructional videos, etc.).

 

 

 

Expected Impact: We are requesting funding for four Digital Navigators, one for each Commissioner Precinct. They would work with all library branches as well as community partners to identify and address the needs of their service areas.
