title

Request for approval of an amendment to a memorandum of understanding between Community Services Department (CSD) and Office of the County Engineer (OCE) to add projects to the projects eligible for funding of staff and other costs to be reimbursed under the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery grant program.

end

Background and Discussion:

On February 25, 2020 Commissioners Court approved a MOU between CSD and OCE which allowed OCE to be reimbursed for staff and other costs associated with the delivery of eight (8) Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery grant program funded drainage and community improvement projects within the county.  The proposed amendment adds ten (10) Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery grant program funded drainage and community improvement projects which are also being delivered by OCE to the list of projects eligible for reimbursement for staff and other costs associated with their delivery.

Expected Impact:

Adoption of this item will aid in the implementation of Disaster Recovery infrastructure projects.

Alternative Options:

If the agreement is not amended, costs for staff and other costs associated with the delivery of the ten (10) projects being added, which would be otherwise eligible for reimbursement under the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery grant program, will not be eligible for reimbursement to OCE.
