Background and Discussion:

Concrete pavement, sidewalk, curbs and driveway demolition and reconstruction throughout the Spring Camp area in Harris County Precinct 4.

 

 

 

 

Expected Impact:

Reconstructing these roadway’s, sidewalks, driveways and curbs will improve pavement and sidewalk conditions to enhance drainage flow as well as pedestrian pathways, thereby improving mobility and safety for all road and sidewalk users. This purchase order will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials. This testing will ensure the material’s compliance with Harris County Engineering and other governing bodies specifications as required by state law.

 

 

 

 

 

Alternative Options:

Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include issuing a purchase order for similar services to a different vendor, or cancelling this construction project.
