Background and Discussion:
Concrete roadway and paving subgrade reconstruction on various locations throughout the Spring Camp Area in Harris County Precinct 4.
Expected Impact:
Reconstructing these roadways will improve pavement conditions, thereby improving mobility and safety for all road users. This purchase order will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials. This testing will ensure the material’s compliance with Harris County Engineering and other governing bodies specifications as required by state law.
Alternative Options:
Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include issuing a purchase order for similar services to a different vendor or cancelling this construction project.
