Background and Discussion:

The approval is pursuant to a requirement that the applicant has met the requirements of Harris County Infrastructure Regulations, Sec 4.07 (2) which include completion of Harris County Engineer Form 1226 and provision of engineering plans and specifications that prove that the buildable area of the specific lot(s) has/have been removed from the mapped 100-year floodplain by a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) or a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA).

 

 

 

 

Expected Impact:

This approval will ensure that development in unincorporated areas will not pose a threat to the safety and welfare of the public as prescribed by Commissioners Court.

 

 

 

 

 

Alternative Options:

Should Commissioners Court elect not approve this Court order then improvements will be regulated based on previous FIRM maps that the property is still located in the 100yr Flood plain.
