Background and Discussion:

Harris County recently purchased 1111 Fannin to be the new offices for HCED, HCFCD, and CSD.  These 3 departments will occupy the majority of the building; however, some additional space is available for other departments to occupy. 

 

Expected Impact:

The approval of this item will allow for a portion of some HC departments to occupy 1111 Fannin while vacating their existing space for other departments that are growing and need space for staff.

 

Alternative Options:

Alternative would be to not do the project and therefore, we would not have available space for other departments to locate their staff.
