Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 2 partnered with the East End Management District to create the East End Bikeway Plan.
Expected Impact:
The plan developed recommendations at several levels. It will define projects that create a base network that can be implemented quickly (e.g. a network that could be implemented in the next three years) to provide a well-connected system supporting a broad range of trips and users. It sets a vision for a comprehensive network and define several transformative projects for the District. Projects will be developed to a level of detail to support East End in funding implementation through grants and partnerships. The Plan defines supporting policies and programs to support the East End as a bike-friendly community.
