Request for approval of an Agreement with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Grand Parkway Transportation Corporation (GPTC) for design, construction, maintenance and funding for an extension of the northbound and southbound Grand Parkway frontage roads between Schiel Road and Cumberland Ridge Drive in Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:
Agreement will allow for the design to be completed and constructed by Harris County with TxDOT and GPTC to maintain the constructed facility. Requests for future contracts to complete design and construction will be brought forward to future Commissioners Courts for actions.
Expected Impact:
Project will allow businesses along Schiel direct access to Grand Parkway, removing the need to travel through adjacent neighborhoods. The anticipated cost associated with the terms of this Agreement will come from the Toll Road Authority.
