Background and Discussion:

This program, funded by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), pays for continuation of a system that provides automated crime victim information and notification services.  Grant funds will be paid to the vendor (Appriss Inc.) selected by OAG.  There is no cost to Harris County associated with participation in this program, nor is there a match required. 

 

Expected Impact:

Crime victims will be notified of offender release information and relevant court dates.

 

Alternative Options:

Without this grant award, crime victims would not be notified of offender status changes.
