Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 2 will enter into a partnership with the City of Houston and The Buffalo Bayou Partnership to design, construct and maintain a pedestrian/bicycle trail providing recreational opportunities for the public. The project is contingent on funding provided by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Commissioners’ Court previously approved a request, June 30, 2020, from Precinct 2 to submit an application for this grant.
Expected Impact:
This project provides recreational opportunities to East End neighborhoods as part of the Buffalo Bayou East Master Plan and creates connectivity between the parks.
