Background and Discussion:
The interior renovation at the Freeman Library is to construct a new innovation lab space and renovate the vaulted ceiling in the existing library building to serve the public.
This change in contract entails modifications to the existing HVAC system to increase the air flow in the lab, relocate a fire strobe and a smoke detector per Fire Marshal’s code and install pathways for data cabling. Also includes an extension of the contract time of 50 calendar days.
Expected Impact:
Changes allow the completion of the project in accordance with the original intent of the project. This proposed change in contract is within the approved project budget.
