Background and Discussion:

 

The County and Airline Improvement District would like to enter a partnership to add street lights to the project. Harris County is responsible for the installation costs, and Airline Improvement District is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and electrical power costs.

 

Expected Impact:

 

The goal of street lighting is to increase the visibility and safety of vehicular traffic as well as pedestrians and bicyclists.

 

Alternative Options:

 

If no action is taken the street lighting may not be added to the project.
