Background and Discussion:
The Lake Houston project is located in NE Harris County on the SW portion of Lake Houston. The CSD Single Family New Construction Program in partnership with HCED is developing a 18.4 mixed-income subdivision that will yield up to 115 homes, with 59 new, affordable homes designated to serve families with a Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI). RGME has been procured to provide Architectural & Engineering Services for the development. A Third Amendment for the contract is being requested to provide and Environmental Assessment.
Expected Impact:
This will allow the single-family new construction program Task Order 5 Lake Houston Development obtain an Environmental Assessment and approval from the General Land Office to provide funding for the project.
Alternative Options:
Without and Environmental Assessment for this development the General Land Office will not approve funding for this project and could potentially end the project.
