Background and Discussion:

The County engaged McDonough Engineering Corporation to study and design the project in 2018, and now seeks McDonough Engineering Corporation to assist and advise the County during project construction.

The goal of constructing Greenhouse Road 4 from north of Toledo Bend Trails Lane to south of Tuckerton Road is to complete the future southbound 2-lanes to complete a 4-lane concrete boulevard (i.e. the northbound 2-lanes are existing) and improve mobility in the area.

McDonough Engineering Corporation is qualified to perform these professional services. The firm is registered with the Harris County Engineering Department Professional Services Registry.

Expected Impact:

The project will address current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, and provide safe mobility for residents, pedestrians and drivers.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, the project may experience delays in construction staking, review of submittals and RFI’s as well as traffic control plans as required by the agreement.
