Background and Discussion:

The County entered into an agreement for professional engineering services with Cobb Fendley & Associates, Inc. to provide improvements to Anderson Road from Hiram Clarke Road to Almeda Road on June 26, 2018. On May 14, 2019, the County amended the agreement for additional drainage engineering services to comply with the adoption of Atlas 14 requirements. To expedite construction in front of Yes Prep Southwest Secondary School, this project was split into two segments; segment 1 is from Hiram Clarke to Ditch 8 (C144-00-00) and segment 2 is from Ditch 8 (144-00-00) to Almeda/FM521. This second amendment is for additional professional services for traffic all-way stop analysis in the corridor, incorporation of additional box culvert design in Channel 144-00-00 in segment 1, and environmental services, geotechnical services, and design of second detention pond in segment 2.

Expected Impact:

The project will address current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, provide connectivity to schools and neighborhood destinations, improve safety for pedestrians and motorists, improve roadway conditions, and reduce potential of structural flooding with drainage improvements.

Alternative Options:
