Background and Discussion:
On September 29, 2020, Commissioners Court accepted the FY2020 PSGP award of $2,474,622 (M&A funds included) from FEMA. Of that amount, 1.2 million is allocated to Universal Services for IJ #1.
Fiscal Impact:
No additional budget impact to Harris County Universal Services is expected from approval.

Alternatives:
There is no alternative funding source for the 2020 Port Security FEMA grant. These funds are necessary for the support of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (SMAG) and the Houston Ship Channel Security District.
