Request for authorization to negotiate an Agreement with Raba-Kistner Consultants, Inc. to provide construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering services for Heavy Highway, Drainage, and Bridge Maintenance Package for Harris County Toll Road Authority’s Roadway (Precinct 4).

Background and Discussion:
The resulting Agreement will ensure that the appropriate materials tests are performed to verify compliance with the project plans and specifications. Contract 241 is a HCTRA capital maintenance contract to perform multiple maintenance projects on the HCTRA system in Precinct 4. Projects included were identified by the annual system inspection as well as by HCTRA maintenance personnel, and the project package was designed by Costello, Inc. This type of capital maintenance contract has proven very valuable to HCTRA over the past 10 years. The expected project duration is 18 months.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this request will come from the Toll Road Authority.
