Background and Discussion:
The Flood Control District mows three times per year. From time to time, other agencies, such as municipal utility districts, would like to mow areas that the Flood Control District mows more frequently. The Flood Control District uses these types of agreements to commit the local agency to maintaining the channel and/or basin and agrees to pay the local agency the amount of funding the Flood Control District would have paid to mow the areas.
Fiscal Impact: Funding of $36,531 is available as part of the Districts Operations and Maintenance Budget.

Alternatives:
The alternative would be to not enter into this agreement with MUD 238 and mow these areas three times per year.
Alignment with Strategic Objective:
SO4.1 - Reducing flooding risks across Harris County by continuing to improve the maintenance and performance of District facilities which includes infrastructure vegetation management completing 3 mowing cycles annually.
