Background and Discussion:

This right of entry from the City of Houston will allow the Flood Control District’s contractor better access to construct the new Almeda Road bridge over Brays Bayou and associated channel improvements.  Park property covers two of the four corners where the bridge crosses the bayou

 

Fiscal Impact: There is no cost associated with this item.

If this right of entry agreement is not executed, the District will not be able to construct channel improvements on Brays Bayou.

 

Alignment with Strategic Objective:

SO1.1                     Continuously plan CIP projects to improve conveyance capabilities of Harris County through addition of assets to FCD infrastructure and improving existing assets within FCD's existing infrastructure.

 

SO2.1 Reducing flooding risks across Harris County by completing projects in the 2018 Harris County Flood Control District Bond Program by 2030.
