Request by Budget Management for approval to accept grant funds from the U.S. Department of the Treasury in the amount of $457,754,064, which is the first installment of two equal payments to be received for the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Program.

Background and Discussion:
This funding is authorized by the American Recovery Plan Act of 2021 and may be used by local communities for a wide range of purpose as they relate to COVID-19.
Fiscal Impact:
This will be an opportunity for Commissioners Court to make significant investments in the Harris County community.
