Background and Discussion:
On September 15, 2020 Commissioners Court authorized the move of Harris County Public Health (HCPH) Main Office Operations from its current location at 2223 West Loop South, to the historic Riverside Hospital site located in and in the vicinity of 3204 Ennis Street. Key considerations for this move include efficiency, cost effectiveness, accessibility, and location. The relocation of HCPH to Riverside will allow HCPH to be centrally located within Harris County (in close proximity to the Texas Medical Center and downtown Houston), on a historically significant site, and will facilitate the County making a significant, long-lasting investment in underserved/underinsured communities of Harris County.
