(Agreement No. 2022-16).

Background and Discussion:
This memorandum of understanding between the Flood Control District and the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration documents the Flood Control District's willingness to assist these two Federal agencies with data collection related to tropical cyclone induced storm surge. This assists the NWS and NOAA because they typically do not have staff available with the training for this type of data collection. The Flood Control District has several staff trained and has processes and equipment ready to collect this type of data.

Fiscal Impact: There is no cost associated with this court item.
