Background and Discussion:
On September 29, 2020, Harris County Commissioners Court approved the allocation of $93,596.00 in General Funds and accompanying resolutions to provide Harris County grants to seven (7) eligible agencies to qualify for the Fiscal Year 2021 Texans Feeding Texans Home-Delivered Meal grant award through the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). In accordance with the TDA application, Harris County Community Services Department (CSD) reviewed the applications to assess each agency’s home-delivered meals and approved their financial system. The total grant awards will be $123,538.00, including $29,942.00 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston.
