Recommendation for approval of a First Amendment to the original Engineering Services Agreement dated February 27, 2018, between Entech Civil Engineers, Inc. and Harris County to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection Services in support of the construction of the Lorraine Street Underpass, including a pump station, utility relocations, and associated drainage features, in connection with the Hardy Toll Road Downtown Connector Project. The County and the Engineer now desire to amend the Agreement to revise the Indemnification, amend the provision for the Delivery of Notices, and add Historically Underutilized Business Requirements. Also, the County and the Engineer desire to increase the Compensation and Payment to be paid by the County to the Engineer from the amount of $1,750,000 to $2,175,000, resulting in $425,000 in additional funds in Precincts 1 and 2.
