This tract is required as part of an interlocal agreement between the District and the City of Houston.

There are no funding impacts as a result of this acquisition. Funding has already been secured via an interlocal agreement with the City of Houston.

Alternatives:
There are no other alternatives to this acquisition. Without this parcel, the District would not be able to construct the flood damage reduction project on behalf of the City of Houston within the neighborhood and the District would not have additional volume to reduce regional flooding in the area.

SO3.1 - Reducing flooding risks across Harris County by continuing to aggressive in pursuing funding from grants, state and federal partnerships, and other sources of funding for flood damage reduction projects.
