Background and Discussion:
CDC Foundation members play a vital role in the HCPH’s ongoing response to COVID-19 in the greater Houston area. These individuals have been employed primarily as case investigators in our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), where they investigate COVID-19 cases within congregate setting, such as schools, nursing homes & workplace. Another area of great importance to HCPH’s overall COVID-response mission is the processing and investigation of “probably cases”, or those investigations that arise from positive antigen results, which are also handled by our CDC Foundation members.
