Background and Discussion:
The Flood Control District purchased a 139.60-acre tract in June 2020 for $2,246,423 along the Q134-01-00 channel in the Cedar Bayou watershed. This tract will eventually become a stormwater detention basin to reduce flooding risks in the Cedar Bayou watershed, primarily near the FM 2100 and FM 1960 intersection. This Court item is to officially add a District unit number for this tract.

Alternatives:
The Flood Control District uses a unit numbering system to reference all our infrastructure. Without this unit ID, it would be very difficult for the District to track activities and expenditures associated with the design and construction of this stormwater detention basin.
Alignment with Strategic Objective:
SO1.1 - Continuously plan CIP projects to improve conveyance capabilities of Harris County through addition of assets to FCD infrastructure and improving existing assets within FCD's existing infrastructure.
SO2.1 - Reducing flooding risks across Harris County by completing projects in the 2018 Harris County Flood Control District Bond Program by 2030.
