Background and Discussion:

As part of the subdivision drainage improvement projects, the Flood Control District, the Harris County Engineering Department, and the City of Seabrook are proposing to design and construct major storm sewer improvements.  The proposed project will improve drainage in the Baybrook and Seascape subdivisions.  The City will maintain the new storm sewers.

Alternatives:

 The alternative would be to not complete this project and not increase the current level of service for the local drainage system. 

 

Alignment with Strategic Objective:

SO1.1 - Continuously plan CIP projects to improve conveyance capabilities of Harris County through addition of assets to FCD infrastructure and improving existing assets within FCD's existing infrastructure.

 

SO3.2 - Leveraging District's funds with federal, state, and local partnerships funds continue to be an important vehicle to enable many popular multi-use and quality-of-life initiatives with various sponsors.
