Background and Discussion:
The project will construct approximately 6,960 linear feet of 5ft sidewalks and storm sewers. The drainage
system improvements include closed and open ditch drainage system with components that consist of
Reinforced Concrete Culvert Boxes (RCB) of varying sizes, Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipes (RCP)
regular pipe of varying sizes, reinforced Concrete Pipes (RCP) arch pipe type equivalent circular 30 in
and 36inch, Manhole 48”, 60”, and 72”, Junction Boxes (JP), and Type A inlets.
Expected Impact:
Fiscal Impact - $2,000,00.00 in CDBG-DR Funds and $3,028,192.00 in Precinct 2 funds. This project seeks to reduce flood risks and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by alleviating property and structural damage with improved drainage which will benefit 1,745 persons of which 56.9% are LMI.
