Background and Discussion:
Each year, prior to the renewal of a grant's program year (October 1, 2026), the County department responsible
for administering a grant must request approval of the commissioners to extend the end date of each affected
grant funded position. As per Harris County Auditor's accounting and grant setup procedure G.5 "Grant Renewals/Rollovers", the department ID's, grant project, and activities are established to accommodate the required position extensions and subsequent roll. Positions are funded through Community Development Block Grant and HOME program.

With the renewal of the grant's program year the reassignment of all CDBG and HOME grant funded positions to their newly created project and activity and the positions will be extended to a new end date of September 30, 2027.
