Background and Discussion:
The event runs from 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm on 01/15/2027 and 8:00 am – 11:00 pm on 01/16/2027. Cristian Gonzalez, Captain. Angel Chavez, Event Coordinator.
Expected Impact:
Expecting 400 guests. Setup begins at 8:00 on 01/14/2027, with breakdown by 11:00 pm on 01/17/2027. Property use will be the North Shore Rotary Pavilion, sidewalks, and parking lot next to the courthouse and the pavilion. Amplified sound, site decorations, tents, canopies, food trucks, B-B-Q trailers, banners, signs, portable toilets, first aid tent, traffic control, donated security services, and 60 volunteers will be present. Food, drink, and merch sales will range from $1.00 to $250. Award presentations will be held for the Jr. B-B-Q competition. Park Director has allowed overnight access for the pitmaster to tend their B-B-Q pits and has permitted the event to be publicly open till 11:00 pm on 01/15/2027 and 11/16/2027. The fundraiser proceeds will go towards local Senior scholarships.
