Background and Discussion:
The Department of Family and Protective Services intends to continue the utilization of current services provided by Harris County Protective Services for Fiscal Year 2027 for the period of September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027. The current allocation levels are included in the table below. Harris County Resources for Children and Adults will provide family assessment to parents/caregivers with children in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services in Region 6, which includes Harris County and 12 surrounding counties

Expected Impact:
Family Assessment Services are comprehensive early assessments of families. The purpose of this service is to obtain information to identify the client's service needs and to reduce risk. This is cost reimbursement and no match requirement.
