Background and Discussion:
This project is in northwest Harris County in the Cypress Creek watershed. Norchester Subdivision consists of an existing underground storm sewer system that drains into the existing Anderson Ditch and K10000-00 channel. The scope of the project consisted of upsizing existing storm sewer pipe in the neighborhood, adding additional storm sewer pipe, and increasing the number of inlets to the system to reduce localized flooding in the neighborhood. A new detention basin will also be required for mitigation.

Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood in the Norchester subdivision. No impact to project cost, schedule or staffing anticipated.

Alternative Options:

The County could elect to approve or choose to reject it. However, if not approved, the project area will continue to experience flooding.
