Background and Discussion:
Law enforcement officers and HCPH frontline workers have policies that allow them to take up to 3 days of mental health leave. However, this is not available to all Harris County employees. This item asks HRT in coordination with other relevant county departments to bring options to amend the Harris County Personnel Policies and Procedures to include paid mental health leave for employees not already covered by an existing departmental policy.
