Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 4 will partner with Texas State University to offer Social Work students practicum education experience as interns in Precinct 4's Social Services Department. Under the guidance of the Director of the Social Services Department, interns will provide quality social worker services and resources to Harris County residents as social worker navigators.

The county will benefit from the services provided by the student interns and in turn will provide professional development and training to the students.
