Background and Discussion:
The original agreement commenced on or about September 1, 2022. This agreement agrees to provide tenant improvements to the 6th floor and restroom, in exchange for an extension of 60 months and an increase in monthly rent. The total revenue per year will be as follows: Year 1-$215,400.00, Year 2-$229,760.04, Year 3-$244,119.96, Year 4-$258,480.00, and Year 5-$272,840.04. The upgrades consist of remodeling the men’s restroom and breakroom, new paint and carpet throughout the suite on the 6th floor.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will continue to bring revenue to Harris County in the amount of $1,220,600.04 through August 31, 2031.
Alternative Options:
The County could choose not to renew the agreement and not receive the revenue from the State of Texas.
