Background and Discussion:
Currently the agency is sending our entire Patrol Bureau through Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response (ALERRT) training. This training is being conducted offsite. Active Shooter training consists of reality-based training (scenarios).
The Harris County Sheriff's Office is committed to further educating our personnel to better serve the citizens of Harris County.
Expected Impact:
Approval of this Professional Services contract will provide a Technical Consultant to the HCSO for a new Active shooter Facility. Design, programming and construction of an active attack training facility metal building approximately 80' x 125' with classroom & catwalk. Building to be climate-controlled with roll up bay doors.
