Background and Discussion:
The new sound wall will provide a divide between the heavy truck traffic along Barbours Cut Blvd and Colonel James Morgan Mew Washington Park to the south. The wall creates a more peaceful environment for the residents of the East Side neighborhood.
Expected Impact:
The sound wall will limit maintenance access to the south side of the sound wall. The City of Morgan's Point will maintain the sound wall, inlets, sidewalk, and lighting within Harris County's ROW along E Barbours Cut between Main Street and Vinsonia.

The alternative option for this proposal would be denial of this project which may have a negative impact on surrounding communities.
