Background and Discussion:
The Senger Stormwater Detention Basin and Channel Rehabilitation at IH-45 project comprises channel improvements to the main stem of Cypress Creek (HCFCD Unit K100-00-00) centered at IH-45 and excavation of a new stormwater detention basin. The project is being constructed using Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funds.

The scope of work includes approximately 4,500 linear feet of channel rehabilitation along the main stem of Cypress Creek centered at IH-45 with widening, benching, and bank stabilization, and the offsite disposal of approximately 1,027,722 cubic yards of excavated material to facilitate the construction of a new stormwater detention basin.
