Background and Discussion:
The County Clerk’s Office, Harris County Law Enforcement Agencies, and the County Attorney’s Office
have developed a security plan for the FY2027 election cycles. This plan relies on the participation of law enforcement officers, who will be compensated for their time at the approved overtime hourly rate of pay (time-and-a-half or “z-time”).
