Background and Discussion:
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is the regional organization through which local governments consider issues and cooperate in solving area wide problems. Representatives to the H-GAC General Assembly and Board of Directors must be elected officials of the Commissioner's Court. Any alternate delegates must also be elected officials. New terms begin on January 1st and expire on December 31st of each year.
Expected Impact:
The appointment will ensure the continuity of Harris County's representation on the H-GAC.
