Background and Discussion:
Texas Transportation Code Chapter 393 permits trained volunteers authorized by Commissioners Court to confiscate signs placed without authorization in a public right of way, such unauthorized signage commonly known as “Bandit Signs.” Currently, the County Attorney’s Office provides this training, and upon completion of training, forwards the names of trained volunteers to Commissioners Court for approval.
