Background and Discussion:
The project is located in northwest Harris County, north of Sam Houston Tollway, south of FM 1960, and east of SH 249. The project area consists of residential homes, elementary school, and industrial warehouses. Existing Bourgeois Road is a two-lane undivided asphalt roadway with drainage ditches on both sides. The proposed improvements will add raised medians and turn lanes with a curb and gutter pavement section. Sidewalks are proposed on both sides of the roadway.
Expected Impact:
The interlocal agreement will allow Harris County to relocate HC MUD 202 waterline facilities in conflict with improvements to Bourgeois Road project. HC MUD 202 will reimburse Harris County for the related costs.
Alternative Options:
HC MUD 202 can independently design and relocate waterline facilities prior to Bourgeois Rd improvement project.
