Transmittal by the Office of County Administration of the appointment of Manik C. Mitra to the Harris County Community Flood Resilience Task Force (CFRTF), as a City of Houston government representative, for a term ending August 15, 2026, as recommended by the CFRTF Governance Committee.

Background and Discussion:
The purpose of the CFRTF is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Infrastructure Resilience Team and, in turn, and as applicable, the Harris County Commissioners Court to promote collaboration among stakeholders and encourage equitable resilience planning efforts and flood resilience project.
The CFRTF consists of 17 members who serve in an advisory capacity to Commissioners Court. Each member of Commissioners Court appoints one CFRTF member. The five Court-appointed members then serve as the Selection Committee for and appoint the remaining 12 members of the CFRTF. One of those 12 members is to be an employee of the City of Houston government with responsibilities related to flood resilience.
Expected Impact:
Appointment of a vacated CFRTF-recommended and appointed position which will enable continuity of operations and leadership on the task force.
