Background and Discussion:
In 2022, Harris County entered into a Tri-Party agreement with the City of Houston and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership for the development, construction, and maintenance of the Buffalo Bayou East Project. The Lockwood Drive project, a cost-sharing collaboration between Harris County, the City of Houston, and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, aims to enhance vehicle and pedestrian mobility while supporting the ongoing residential and recreational developments along Buffalo Bayou. This regional master plan will increase safety and accessibility through the construction of new roads, sidewalks, traffic signals, parking facilities, and trail connections, benefiting the community and boosting future growth.
