Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 1 has requested that the Office of the County Engineer initiate a wastewater project at Tom Bass Park Section 1, to address sanitary sewer system capacity limitations associated with the existing lift station network. Tom Bass 3 Main Lift Station has experienced sanitary sewer overflows. Capacity Assessments were performed and it was determined that the lift station is undersized and the overflows were due to flows from multiple park lift stations. The purpose of this project is to reduce the flows to the Tom Bass 3 Main Lift Station and divert wastewater flow from Tom Bass Park Section 1 to the City of Pearland collection system, which has been determined to have available capacity to receive the additional flows.
Expected Impact:
IEA, Inc. will design and prepare construction documents needed to alleviate the sanitary sewer overflows at Tom Bass 3 Main Lift Station.
