Background and Discussion:
Harris County Public Library (HCPL) seeks to bridge the digital divide by expanding access to reliable broadband infrastructure, modern technology, and private technology-enabled spaces that support education, workforce development, and health-related services throughout Harris County.

As part of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) Library Infrastructure Facility Improvement (LIFI) Grant, HCPL is implementing a countywide initiative to enhance digital access by improving broadband connectivity at designated library locations and refreshing technology across the library system.
